If I am reacting mPEG with Sodium Hydride to form Alkooxide ions and then reacting with methyl bromoacetate to form ether products.
It is a basic willamson ether synthesis. I tried column but it did not worked because of polar nature of silca gel and mPEG which form H-bonds and not help in elution.
Can any one suggest method of removing excess of methyl bromoacetate from reaction mixture?
depending on the solubility of methyl bromoacetate in diethyl ether you could simply precipitate your PEG product in ice cold diethyl ether

PEG (47.6 mL, 320 mmol) : ethyl bromoacetate (89.5 mL, 820 mmol) and their work up was
"The mixture was concentrated under the reduced pressure and viscous products were extracted using ethyl acetate. The extract was washed using NaCl aq. three times and finally with distilled water. It was dried on MgSO4 and subsequently concentrated under reduced pressure and dried"

Maybe dialysis helps depending on the molecular weight of your PEG.
