If I am doping A3+ ion in an atomic site with B2+ ion ,of almost similar ionic radii then as per charge compensation model assumption,there may be substitution vacancy.Can any one please suggest to quantify these by any theoretical calculation or any experiment for this? How to identify that these defects may be color centers or luminescence centers in my material ?
