Calculate molecular weight of each compound. Divide the taken mass by molecular weight. You got the amount in mole of each. Suppose your polymerization mixture contains monomer (s), initiator, and crosslinker. Now you need to calculate the mole % of crosslinker. Therefore, now divide the no. of mole by the total no. of mole in the mixture and finally multiply by 100.

To prepare 1 mol % of MBAA, you have to find out the moles of MBAA n(MBAA) and as well as for solvent n(H2O).

n(MBAA) = mass of MBAA /molecular weight of MBAA .

simlarly for H20. Then put down the values in below equation:

X(MBAA) = n(MBAA) / [n(MBAA) + n(H2O)]

now, calculate mol % of MBAA = X(MBAA) multiply by 100
