All we know that protein coronas created during the initial reaction with NPs can determine the subsequent immunological cascade, and protein coronas formed on NPs can either stimulate or mitigate the immune response.
So that, It is very important to understand NP-protein corona formation (physiochemical properties) and NP interactions with the immune system components in blood for evaluating NP toxicity for in vivo therapeutics.

Short answer: you can not.
Long answer: it is always good to think about the way the protein corona can form around the NPs, in other words the question is "what can cause proteins to stick onto a particle?". The answers are "electrostatic interactions" and "intrinsic stickiness of the polymer". Positively charged particles will have the tendency to attract quite some anionic proteins and trigger the formation of the corona. This is what happens for cationic gene delivery systems, for example. The "stickiness" is a bit more difficult to predict, admittedly.

By chance yesterday I bumped into an article showing that it is possible to circumvent the corona formation by adsorption of zwitterionic surfactants.
