Use pyfoam. Once it is installed, just run a simulation in this manner

for exampl: pyFoamPlotRunner.py icoFoam (if icoFoam is your solver).

Otherwise write the residuals in a log file:

icoFoam > log | tail -f

and then read them with gnuplot or Xmgrace

Hi,

different approaches are available:

1. Use "pyFoam" a Python tool of OpenFOAM which allows you to solve this task and more than this;

2. Use "gnuplot" that is already delivered with linux;

3. Use "foamMonitor" an OpenFOAM tool;

4. Write a code in python which extract the residual values from the log file of your run.
