I am trying to obtain the history of cross-section forces (forces and bending moments) from a 3D-Shell Model.
Anyone can give me some suggestion? What should I do to take out cross section forces?

Tie all the nodes of the cross section to a single node at the centroid and apply the force and moment at this node or get the reactions at this node
Dear Ali,
To get the history of section force output you need to do the followings:
1- request SF AND SM for output
2- define the surface on which you need the total force and moments
3- you need to open the input file ( MODEL EDIT KEYWORDS)
4- add the following in the input file before the end of step:
*SECTION PRINT, NAME= (any section name), SURFACE= (previously defined section in steep 2)
AXES=GLOBAL or LOCAL (choose one of them)
SOF
SOM
SOCF
5- then run the job and you will find the results in the dat file
your file.dat

What software you used in your model?
Anyways, a shell model must be defined for bending moments, so you must fix the conditions of your model in bending forces or forces that causes bending. The results be adquired usually in "stresses results" or in a "abstract results".
If you need some rapid results, you can use a membrane model. This model have a few DoF, so the time of calculation reduced dramatically, but the results can be mostly the average stresses.
