I obtained clear solution with CsI, SnI2 in DMF:DMSO=4:1 ratio but when I tried dissolving CsI, SnI2 with small amount of SnF2 in DMF:DMSO=4:1 ratio I couldn't obtain a clear solution. Could someone suggest me what to do to obtain CsSnI3 solution with SnF2?
Hello Kwansik, thank you for sharing this very interesting technical question with the RG community. You need to make sure that all your solvents (DMF and DMSO) are carefully dried. If they contain water (which they often do) then the SnF2 will be hydrolyzed under formation of insoluble material.
