I produced silver subparticles but I don't have electronic microscopy to measure of diameter neither any device appropriated for this. Is it possible to manufacture a simple system for this? I thought in measure the drop rate of these particles through a film at speed high using a digital camera, once the drop rate is function of the particle diameter. But I have no idea how to make, because subparticles are smallest and it is not possible see them.
There is a Relationship between Absorbance Spectra and the Particle Size, could you use Dynamic light scattering?
Yes. I have UV-VIS spectrophotometer. But, how is this function? Is it possible to calibrate? Is there any standard of particle size?
Dear Haraszti, I talked by email with Lounès, that mono-disperse polystyrene latex is standard for particle size. It is sold as NIST traceable standard from 0.1 to 100 um of diameter. Hence, if I measured the absorbance to different particle size maybe I could measure the particle size of my sample. What do you think? However, which is the best wavelenght for this? I made download of the article. I'm reading. Thank you very much for your suggestions.
