In simulating a schottky contact in silvaco TCAD, by introducing the metal as electrode and semiconductor as region and applying voltage to metal contact, for changing the fermi level of metal in comparison to semiconductor fermi level, the fermi level of metal does not change. Does anyone know why the silvaco TCAD is not able to show the fermi level changes?
In silvaco TCAD using metal as electrode to make schottky contacts for device simulation, metal fermi level is defined by 0 energy level always. i am also working in schottky barrier device simulation. you can check the quasi fermi level by simply write in output statement qfn, qfp as suggested by Mr. Tillmann Krauss.
