how am i going to measure it? do you have any reference? because the concentration is too high as i cannot get a sharp graph.
If the concentration of the GO is high, then you can dry the GO dispersion of a known volume, afterwards calculate the weight of dry GO powder. From the weight of GO power and the known volume of dispersion used for drying, you can back calculate the concentration of the GO in mg/mL
Dr Parvez has a very good answer. Here is an exact procedure. A "four zeros" analytical balance is required.
1) Tare a disposable aluminum weigh dish on the analytical balance.
2) Place about 1 gram of GO solution in the weigh dish. record exact weight.
my lab notebook:
"1.0050 - 1.1825"
3) Place in oven 120 deg C for 2 hours*
4) Allow to cool, weigh pan with GO.
"1.1899"
weight % = (1.1899-1.1825)/1.0050 = 0.74%
* Please note. Graphene oxide has an exotherm while heating, and heating larger amounts of highly concentrated GO at 120 degrees C is not safe.
You can use spectroscopic ellipsometry as well and out of the optical constants you can get the ratio of graphene/graphene oxide.
