How can I manually calculate the DNA integrity Number (DIN)?

I have data for DNA quality obtained with Agilent Bioanalyzer DNA HS kit but I don't have the DIN score. Because the runs were performer in another laboratory I can't use the software. How can I manually calculate the DIN without a software?

As far as I know you can only get a DIN score from the Agilent TapeStation but not from the BioAnalyzer. From the Bioanalyzer you only get RIN for RNA samples. I do not really understand the reason for this, but there might be technical reason for this. Nevertheless you can still download the Agilent Bioanalyzer Software for free from the Agilent website (http://www.genomics.agilent.com/article.jsp?pageId=2213) and work with your XAD files which very often necessary.
