i am working on polyurea coatings and i would be using Suprasec 2054 prepolymer and D 2000, T 5000 ,DETA and D230 as amines. how to prepare formulations .should i use all the amines together for polyurea . i had tried making a few formulations but was nto much successful
the reaction is very rapid and usually also some foaming is obtained. I suggest to work in a much dry environment. Regards

The amines that you are using are really rapid... In my mind your trials end in a few seconds with a semi-solid product...
The products you mention are typically used in aromatic polyurea. Such systems are fast with gel times of 2 to 5 seconds. That is shy they need to be processed with high pressure machines. Higher pressure combined with lower viscosity (obtained with heaters on machine) increases mix viscosity and results in better coatings. If slower systems are needed, secondary or sterically hindered chain extenders need to be used to replace DETDA. Then you can get to a few minutes of gel time but with different end properties.
