I have created a table of genes of whole genome for microbe by comparing the two genomes and the table is an excel file now I want to use this table for RNA seq analysis in CLC workbench. But in order to do that I need to link this excel table to the genome sequence in the form of gene tracks can anyone help me in this matter? Appreciate your taking out time to help.
I have done some research in order to accomplish the task but no luck yet.

Briefly - the approach i would use here would be something like
1. use Excel to arrange my metadata columns to match GTF2/GFF or GTF3 formats. GTF2/GFF are basically the same and simpler than GTF3, but not as flexible.
2. save the excel document as tab delimited text file. (Tsv)
3. change the extension to .gff (just to be sure)
4. use the plugin manager to install the Annotate with GFF File plugin (or go here to install manually https://www.qiagenbioinformatics.com/plugins/annotate-with-gff-file/)
5. run the tool mom your sequence references and then point to your gff file.
