I have 5 proteins from A. thaliana, and I want to research whether these proteins could interact with mitochondrial proteins in H. sapiens.
Any suggestions on the approach I should take, or an indication of software for investigating PPIs in different organisms?

Collect the amino acid sequences of the 5 proteins from A. thaliana and the mitochondrial proteins from H. sapiens. Use a sequence alignment tool, such as BLAST, to identify any potential homologous sequences between your A. thaliana proteins and H. sapiens mitochondrial proteins. Use a PPI prediction tool, such as STRING, to predict interactions between your A. thaliana proteins and H. sapiens mitochondrial proteins based on sequence homology and/or functional annotation.
