I am an academic passionate about supporting my community through education. My vision is to establish a community-based training institute in Somalia focusing on marine science, aquaculture, and fisheries. The goal is to provide free training, awareness programs, and continuous capacity-building activities such as seminars, workshops, and short courses for students and local communities who cannot afford formal education.
I would like to seek advice and guidance on:
Practical steps for initiating such an institute with limited financial resources.
Designing a curriculum that balances theory and practice.
Organizing regular training activities (seminars, workshops, awareness sessions) that are impactful and sustainable.
Building collaborations with international academics who might be willing to contribute voluntarily (through online lectures, shared materials, mentorship, or joint workshops).
This initiative is based on the principle of knowledge-sharing and community empowerment rather than profit. Any guidance, shared experiences, or possible collaborations would be highly appreciated.

Thank you for your time and kind support.
