I am currently working on a research where I would like to assimilate my pollutant observation data into the Weather Research and Forecasting (WRF)-CHEM model. I believe that data assimilation can improve the accuracy of the model's forecasts by incorporating observational information. However, I am unsure about the specific steps and procedures involved in this process. Can anyone provide guidance on how to include observation data into the WRF-Chem model through data assimilation? Which assimilation methods are commonly used with the WRF-Chem model? Any tips or references would be greatly appreciated.
