I have already gone through "Volume Equations for Forests of India, Nepal and Bhutan"published by Forest Survey of India in 1996. The book contains volumetric equations however, I am in search of allometric equations for estimating above ground biomass of the above mentioned species.

I had another query. Since, I am not able to get the allometric equations for Myrica esculanta, Pyrus pashia, Alnus nepalensis, Juniperus indica, can I use the allometric equation for interspecies as suggested by Rawat and Singh, 1988. I am attaching the research paper along with for your reference.

Please refer to the alometric equations developed by the Group of Chavé et al. (2005: Oecologa)  for:

a) Dry Forests:

b) Moist Forests

c) Wet Forests

Using only Diameter at Breast Height (Dbh) and wood basic specific gravity (g/cm3). The last variable can be obtained from (http://hdl.handle.net/10255/dryad.235). These statistics tend to provide good results. However, in order to improve assessments use the Central Limit Theorem approach. That is, use also the equations of Dr. Sandra Brown (Brown, 1997: FAO Report) that employs only DBH. Dr S. Brown's equations are also for Dry, Moist and Wet forest communities. For every tree you have (DBH) classify it into Dry, Moist or Wet and then fit both Chave's and Brown's equation and obtain a mean value. This approach improves aboveground biomass assessments. I can warrant this as I had reported these findings in several published documents (Návar et al., 2013 J. Arid Environments; Navar, 2014 Agronomia Colombiana).

I hope these recommendations are sufficient for you to carry out your carbon stocj evaluations of your forests.

Sir, I am unable to find the allometric equation for volume estimation in FSI Report. Please provide the allometric equation for Pyrus pashia, Pyrus communis, Prunus domestica, Sapindus mukrosii,Pomegranate, Emblica officinalis, Apricot, Guava.
