Do you model it as a 3D body or 1D body. If it is a slender body, then you can obtain this kind of information using a general-purpose cross-sectional such as VABS. The code can be launched in the cloud of cdmHUB at https://cdmhub.org/resources/vabs.

If you only need to see the distribution as a stress field map, you can create a cut view and place the cut plane at the location you want to see the cross section.  

You can do so while you are visualizing your results by clicking on Tools -->View Cut --> Create. There you will see a menu where you can select and position your cutting plane.
