I will be doing Gateway cloning and need to use the native promoter. I found some databases for that, like EPD, but I couldn't find any information for three of the genes. Are there any other databases for this? I study with Arabidopsis. Thank you.
Try databases like TAIR, PlantProm DB, or AtRegNet for Arabidopsis native promoters. If not available, consider bioinformatics tools or recent literature for specific promoter sequences.
Here are some databases for Arabidopsis promoter sequences:
AGRIS (Arabidopsis Gene Regulatory Information Server)Includes AtcisDB (promoter sequences and cis-regulatory elements) and AtTFDB (transcription factors and their targets). Website: AGRIS
Plant Promoter Database (ppdb)Offers detailed promoter sequences and transcription start site information. Website: ppdb
TAIR (The Arabidopsis Information Resource)Provides genetic and molecular data along with tools for sequence analysis. Website: TAIR
PlantCAREContains a database of plant cis-acting regulatory elements for promoter analysis. Website: PlantCARE
PlantPAN 4.0A promoter analysis tool with transcription factor binding site data. Website: PlantPAN
These resources should help you find native promoter sequences for your Gateway cloning.
