I have designed antenna in CST 2014 i would like to go for fabrication , what is the steps followed to extract files from cst.
It really depends on the fabrication party and what file format it requires from you. They may need "Gerber", "Autocad dxf format", "iges" or any other file formats.
You need to know the required file formal first. I can reckon that CST can export most if not all the industry standard file formats.
my suggestion export your design in gerber file. but make sure you know which type of board you want fabricate your design..+ve board or -ve board.
You can fabricate the antennas either by chemical etching or by UV lithography but for both the approaches, you will need print of antenna with dimensions same as those in your simulation model. For that you need to export gerber file both for top conductor as well as the ground plane. This can be done by setting WCS on each of the layer and exporting the gerber format one at a time.
The gerbers can be printed by any PCB tool/ gerbv etc.
Make sure to have alignment marks on both the layers.
well, you may try to export .dxf file that you can open using AutoCad .. the printing machine may recognize your file if its PC monitored by CircuitCAM software.
How to convert is diff. story.
Choose export , then Aligning WCS local coordinates to complete the exporting for the selected face and so on. Good Luck

For planar antennas designed using CST following are the steps for fabrication using conventional PCB fabrication process:-
* Select the antenna geometry to export it in DXF format.
* Click Modeling in the Menu bar of CST and then click Import/Export.
* Select Export 2D Files and then click on DXF. Then save the file to some location.
* Then the dxf file can be opened using some CAD software or Corel Draw.
* Using Corel Draw fill the region where you want conductor (copper) and rest to be white. So that it can be etched in the manufacturing process.
* Follow the conventional PCB fabrication process i.e. screen printing, masking, etching etc.
