I am currently receiving more and more data for my research, and I already created a list of variables, which includes items (e.g. enjoyment1, enjoyment2, enjoyment3, ...) and several computed variables (e.g. Means of Enjoyment, involvement, ...). When I try to add more data to my SPSS data file, It seems that I am not able to extend the formula I used for computing variables into the new data points. Therefore, I need to compute the variables again.
I was wondering if there is a way to just extend a computation down a column in my dataset.
Yes, you can add more variables and also compute all the scale of their variables. You can add more data.

You need to copy the new data and paste from the last cell of SPSS data file for the respective variables viz. enjoyment1, enjoyment2.....etc. (in data view). There will not be any problem and you won't have to the latent variables again.
