You can write a simple Pinnacle Script:

TrialList.Current.BeamList.Current.CPManager.CPManagerObject.ControlPointList.Current.Save = "/home/usr/tmp/temp.foo";

This will save the current control point for the current beam into the filename you specify. The full path to the filename must be specified in the quotations.
