If your aim is to find the total content then you should sort out a method to dissolve the microparticles and release the entire PP. Use a control to detect any deterioration of PP content
If your aim is to study the effectiveness of the PP loaded microparticles then simulate an environment where the microparticles would be applied and quantify the released PP from the microparticles,
Depending on the polymeric carrier used, you must select an appropriate method to release the content of microparticles (e.g. solvent extraction, sonication, etc.) and then, you can proceed with the quantification of the released phenolic compounds using colorimetric determinations such as Folin-Ciocalteu method.
You should dissolve your microparticles in the appropriate solvent and release their content. For phenolic content you can use the Folin-ciocalteu Method.
