For concrete, i have splitting tensile strength and modulus of rupture. How can i estimate tensile strength from splitting tensile strength and modulus of rupture ? Is there any codal provision or relationship ? Also for brick and mortar, I have only modulus of rupture value. Is there any relationship to estimate tensile strength?

Tehmina Ayub has given a good answer. Actually, there cannot be unique relations between them, due to the inhomogeneity of concrete. Relations can vary from normal concrete to high strength concrete to SCC, etc. Attached is some info from a textbook. But dont know why s33 is zero while s22 has obvious stress profile?
In my understanding, s33 (should be in z direction) should be bending stress(normal stress), it should not be zero under bending.

I'm currently modeling to plaques that are together, one is of a composite material and has ply orientation while the other is a simple mould with isotropic properties.
The type of element I'm using is C3D20T and the contact type I used is surface to surface with small sliding, frictionless, contact controls, hard contact and direct in normal behavior and zero tolerance specified. However, I get the following warning :
Solver problem. Zero pivot when processing D.O.F. 1 of 22 nodes. The nodes have been identified in node set WarnNodeSolvProbZeroPiv_1_1_1_1_1.

Hi every one
I am working on a model with stretching and bending in Abaqus. In my first step I apply the stretching to my model and in the second step I apply the bending. The magnitude of kinetic energy is small in 1st step but it increases significantly in bending step and exceeds the internal energy. Is there anyway to reduce the magnitude of kinetic energy? Also I should say that I have not used the mass scaling!

I am using SANISAND to simulate a triaxial compression test under monotonic loading. But every time my simulations break and give the same message "Abaqus/Implicit Packager exited with an error - Please see the status file for possible error messages if the file exists." There is no message file to look for the specific problem.
Is it has to do anything with the new Intel one API software? Recently, I have been upgraded to ABAQUS 2019. But previously, when tried with the Abaqus 2014 version, the program ran successfully. I am not sure whether it has anything to do with the software configuration.
Can anyone please suggest a solution? I really appreciate any help you can provide.

We have a shrimp sample from IAEA for proficiency test and as per the requirement of IAEA we want to identify and quantify radioactivity in that sample. We have taken a sample count for 90000 sec.
Suppose we got the gross count for K-40 (1460.822 keV) is 1.03E+04 with an area uncertainty of about 121.69.
Before the measurement of the sample, the gamma background at laboratory site was determined with an identical empty plastic container used in the sample measurement.
The background gross count for 1460.822 keV was found as 8.71E+03 with an area uncertainty of about 111.49. We can easily calculate the net count rate from the mentioned information.
But my question is how to calculate Net count rate uncertainty.
