I've just started to study papers about supercapacitor and I'm trying to make a working electrode that is made of a filler, a conductive material and a binder.
I'm using PVDF as a binder, however, I read a lot that PVDF is usually used with NMP (a solvent) for homogeneous mixing. I searched for its boiling point and it is about 200 celcius degree. I really wonder how NMP can be removed after it is used as a solvent.
I haven't handled it yet, I'm about to.
Please, share with me how it can be removed. Thank you so much for reading my question.
After you drop cast your sample in NMP, you can dry it in an oven at 80 degrees Celsius and it should evaporate overnight. If you want to be more thorough, use a vac oven. Remember to make sure the oven is attached to extraction.

But drop casting is a continuous process and you need to wait till the drops dry and add more drops to the surface. That's my issue right now with NMP.
