How can I do random sampling from a uniform distribution to plot Maxwellian in C++ or any other language?

Please help me with the algorithm to draw random samples from a uniform distribution so as to plot Maxwellian distribution from the same.

It would also be helpful if you might share a good random no. generator function preferably in C++.
