I have measured the specific capacitance of my supercapacitor using the C-V plot in Autolab set up. Now I want the Charge discharge Analysis. I have read that Chronopotentiometry is the method to be used.
Now please help me to understand the basic process, The measurement to do and the parameters to be varied
U select one potential scan and note the maximum obtained current . Apply the same current for charging and discharging profile, calculate the slope of discharging cure and use it in the equation for capacitance. Note the loaded weight of electrode material should be the same for both the studies.
Dear sir, my current is coming around 0.1 mA. Now I am not getting the point of charging discharging . After what time I will be able to see the discharge. I scanned for very long time (1000 sec ) and observed that the voltage which was increasing then become saturated but there was no fall in the voltage.
So where is the discharge?

Hi, u can add 2 cut off in chrono charge decharge (>1ms) procedure in NOVA in two first record signals ( the first one for positive current that you select and the other for negative) as belows.
in 1st Record signal (>1ms) galvanostatic-->options-->Cutoff( signal:potential w(1), actin when:>, Value: equal to upper vertex e.g: 1 V, action: stop command--> Ok
in 2nd Record signal (>1ms) galvanostatic-->options-->Cutoff( signal:potential w(1), actin when: Ok
u can use C=(I*∆t)/m*∆V
