I have confusion after titration with HCl 1N. What should the colour be after titration?
It depends on the substance that you added as indicator. For instance, if you use Phenolphthalein you will observe colour changed from red to white after tritation.
An alternative is to not use an indicator at all , but to titrate to an end point of pH 7. That said, you will need a pretty accurate pH meter or a titrator
Use Mixed indiactor prepared by mixing 0.1g of Bromocresol green and 0.02g Methyl red in 100 ML of 95% Ethyl Alcohol or Methanol and adjusted to 4.8 pH. The colour at the end point will be Brick Red
