• Trypsin and EDTA won’t fully clear fibronectin–integrin complexes — enzymatic cocktails like collagenase/dispase can be more effective without completely destroying FN.
• To strip cells but leave extracellular vesicles, use gentle chelation (low EDTA, EGTA) and careful washing rather than proteases.
• If you want to remove vesicles too, detergents (mild Triton X-100 or SDS) or mechanical scraping are usually required, though they also strip FN.
• For future work where you need cells to release cleanly, DendroTEK dPGA | Protease-Resistant Culture Matrix offers a non-degrading substrate that supports adhesion but allows easier downstream recovery.
