I'm experimenting on inorganic pigments, specifically iron oxide pigments. According to the reaction equation, FeCl3 and FeCl2 react with NaOH in ratio 325:127:320. Is there a way to decrease the amount of NaOH required to react completely with FeCl3 and FeCl2? How can I complete the reaction to make maximum final product without using more NaOH?
