Though Hall effect is best way to differentiate p-type and n-type semiconductors, sometimes it may give some erroneous results (i.e., when the ohmic contacts are not proper, when the p-ZnO possess higher resistivity and so on)
I got to know the best way to confirm the p-ZnO formation is through XPS study. But how can I analyze/confirm it.? Kindly help!!!
Measure the work function by XPS
(look measurements of WF by XPS in google and revise any article)

Hi all, I tried my level best to find an appropriate literature which deals in analyzing the p-ZnO formation by XPS (through change in workfunction). But I could not find the suitable paper which clearly says about the change in workfunction and formation of p-ZnO.

I will be very much grateful if anyone can suggest some literature based on the same.
I suggest using UPS (Ultraviolet photoelectron spectroscopy).
You can get the results of workfunction or Fermi level from UPS spectrums, good luck!
