Hi,
I am working in Word 2010 and EndNote X7.
I want to change the color of citations in manuscript to blue (not to change them manually), but to change them automatically in creating the citations.
For example: DNA was extracted as described by Van Soolingen et al. [2].
In this sentence, the color of citation [2] is blue.
Could you tell me how to do this?

For X7 version
Go to Tools
In this select: Cite While You Write (CWYW)
under this again go to Format Bibliography (Alt+3)
Then it will show you EndNote Configure Bibliography
In this check mark: underline linked in-text citations.
Click OK
Then select all text in word and remove underline by double select
Finish it and Enjoy.
Click the arrow on the bottom right corner of "Styles" in the Home menu. Find "Hyperlink" in the list of styles. Select with cursor and right click. Select "Modify" and change the style so that the font is blue and the text is underlined. This should change all citations to blue underlined format in the text.
In EndNote
Go to Tools
Select 'Cite While You Write (CWYW)'
under this again Click 'Format Bibliography'
Then it will show you 'EndNote Configure Bibliography'
In this window Check mark: 'underline linked in-text citations'
Click OK
Then
in MS Word go to 'Styles' and find the 'Hyperlink' style.
Right click on it and select 'Modify...'
In the opened window select any color, font or formatting you want.
Click OK
and Enjoy
