We normally anneal drop coated or sputtered Pt (H2PtCl6) for its activation as catalyst in DSSC. The process is around 400 C for 20-30 min. Is there any other way by which Pt can be activated below 150C? My substrate does not allow 400 C, maximum is 150C.

Hi,
If you have facility, can sputter platinum by using platinum target through DC mode on FTO or ITO substrate, after that anneal at 4500C for 30-45 minutes. Then place in a desiccator, it would last for 4- 5 months.
In another method, you can use platisol solution. Which can be spin coated or add a drop wise on FTO/ITO substrate, then go for annealing as mentioned above.
