I start to simulate a simple transformer in FEMM and compare the results with Maxwell.
In the manual of FEMM they describe how to use the block integrals to calculate the inductance. If I compare them with the Maxwell inductance the results are different.
Also the magnetic field strength is different even though I have the same material details.

You can use the basic equation for self and mutual inductance. I mean when you have 2 coils, you should supply one of them and read its current (the second one is open circuit) and in the other case you should supply first coil and measure voltage in the second one. I 've used Comsol in one of my projects in this method maybe in FEMM you can use this method.
I found already the failure with the magnetic field strength. The excitation in Maxwell was wrong.
