The ECSA(electrochemical active surface area) for Pt/C electrocatalyst easily can be calculated in acidic media such as 0.1M HClO4 after purging with N2.
Then, how can we calculate the ECSA for Pt/C in 0.1M KOH?
This is because I have been known that the examination method by using the total charge amount caused by H+ desorption is only acceptable in acidic media.
