Is ZSM-5 zeolite kinds of FAU (faujasite) type of zeolite?
Can I use NaY faujasite type zeolite Si/Al ratio formula with XRD curve for ZSM-5 zeolite?
If yes, How can I find ao in NaY faujasite type zeolite Si/Al ratio formula with XRD curve for ZSM-5 zeolite? (in formul in an "Infl uence of synthesis parameters on the crystallinity and Si/Al ratio of NaY zeolite synthesized from kaolin" article, there was a formula that is" Si/Al = (25.858 – ao)/(ao – 24.191))" that said ao=2θ(≈31º) how can I understand that what is 2θ
for ZSM-5 ?
With XRD you can get information on the framework type but not on the elemental composition. You would need XRF to determine the Si and Al content.
ZSM5 products have a different framework type, i.e. MFI not FAU.

With XRD you can find out the mineral composition of the sample. for example: 35% Mommorillonite, 16% vermiculite etc. If you want to know the element ratios, as Ms. Georgi said you can use XRF. Alternatively you can use SEM-EDX (SEM-EDS)
