TG may not work well since the metal may suffer from oxidation. Could the acitve metals be soluble in dilute acid? The dilute acid will not destroy the Carbon support. And the resulting material was dried under N2 atomosphere.
I am not sure what your chemistry really is. The nomenclature is quite uncommon. Does the sample even have carbon in it? Does the .../C mean, it is something supported on carbon? Is it a catalyst or a coating perhaps? Alternatively, do you have a reference to a better chemical formula and a representation of what the sample is? Is the Po really in the material (polonium) or do you mean PO_4 (phosphate)?
Your question is still very confusing. I am not sure how anyone else can even make a recommendation unless it is something that they work with in a common way.
Unfortunately, the answer to how a question about how you get composition in an experiment depends on a lot more than can be answered from a short question (unless you want that I write a textbook ... )
