using MFM images, how can I know the domain size and how can I plot the profile for bright and dark contrast for a domain image ???
I am actually new to the field and haven't done much in the processing of MFM images. if there is any literature about it or any particular software to process MFM images???

First of all, you should take into account that any MFM image is just a map of the magnetic charges, and you need to combine such a map with other information (magnetic anisotropy, magnetic state, etc.) to properly address image interpretation.

If you only have a two level contrast in your images, you can use a proper mask to improve the edges of the domains and subsequently use the line intercept method to calculate the domain size, in the same manner that is explained here to calculate the grain size:

Regarding software, you can use free programs like ImageJ or WSxM.
