I'm in the process of carrying out research on attitudes towards various different languages in a multilingual situation. I believe the suitable design for my purpose would be a matched-guise experiment. Although i've done some background reading on it, i feel like im still missing something- should i also use a questionnaire? How can i assure my work is valid/ reliable? Any suggestions?

The problem with the matched-guise technique is that the stimuli (i.e., the recordings) are expected to be obtained from perfectly matched bilinguals reading two guises of the same text. This is fine when you are testing two languages, but is would be very difficult to find speakers who can produce native-like versions in a wider number of different languages. So one option is to record a number of different speakers using their normal speech and evaluate listeners' attitudes to those recordings. A colleague and I conducted such a study in Australia.
