Hi! The nonlinear phase shift in the product gamma P L where gamma is the fiber nonlinear coefficient, P the input power and L the length.

Hi, this is a straight-forward calculation. The nonlinear phase shift is given as,
ΔφNL(t) = ϒ* Leff* P(t)
Where, ϒ is the fiber nonlinear coefficient,
Leff= (1- e-α*L)/α, is the effective nonlinear length of the fiber, and
P(t) is the optical power.
