You could uses the RSQ function or the Correl function in excel. Just put actual in one column and predicted in another. Or you can do the calculation manually with or without a spreadsheet
If you open up a blank excel spreadsheet open up help ( a ? icon in the version in front of me) and search for regress or correlation coefficient you will get an explanation of how to use the RSQ, the CORREL and the Person and the Linest excel functions as well as a lot of other regression data analysis functionality If you have actual data in one column and model predictions in another you can use these functions to calculate correlation coefficient R squared or just about any other statistical functions both with and without graphs. There are a few different slightly versions of correlation coefficients but I think RSQ, Correl and/or Linest are the ones you are looking for.
A google or Wikipedia search of regression, data analysis, Correlation coefficient and/or Pearson correlation coefficient will give you a tremendous amount of information about the various correlation coefficients. R squared is the most commonly used correlation parameter reported by scientists/statisticians. There are times when the others are more appropriate. But I think you probably are asking about R Squared.
