Population size estimate for white-tailed deer (Odocoileus virginianus) in the "Cayo Saetia" protected area. In order to estimate the white-tailed deer (Odocoileus virginianus) population size living in the protected area of "Cayo Saetia", two inventory procedures were developed, these were the line-transect method and a variant of the dropping group counting method. Both methods yielded an average population estimate of 2700 animals which, presumably, are unevenly distributed within the two sampling habitats.
