Hi,

I have a question about the calculation of the CO2 of private transportation.

I have a dataset of the households with the number/make/model/age/fuel type, and engine size of the vehicles that each household owned.

I also have the annual traveled distance per each vehicle, I need to calculate the CO2 emission for each household,

my questions are:

1- is there a distance-based emission factor for CO2 that multiply by the traveled distance

and calculate the CO2 emission for each vehicle.

2-the vehicles of my dataset registered in 2016 or before, do I need to use an emission factor for 2016 or may I use a newer emission factor?

3- I found here fuel consumption-based emission factors emihttps://cdr.eionet.europa.eu/be/eu/mmr/art07_inventory/ghg_inventory/envynushw/BEL_2022_2020_05052022_184944_started.xlsx/manage_document

which i need to convert to emission factor on a per-kilometer basis, to use this formula:

CO2 emissions = (annual distance traveled in km/fuel consumption in liters per km) x CO2 emission factor

should I have the fuel consumption per kilometer for each vehicle in the dataset or can i use an average?

thank you
