There are bilateral retroperitoneal paraspinal gaucheromas in a teenage patient with non-neuronopathic Gaucher disease and receiving Imiglucerase (approximately 30 units/kg every two weeks) for the past 5 years. The disease status in terms of hematological, biochemical and bone response is satisfactorily controlled. There was an unexplained increase in plasma chitotriosidase one year ago, which has now decreased. No soft tissue masses were evident on earlier imaging with abdominal MRI and ultrasound in the past 5 years.
