Dear Aba Sin it seems like a good question independent of some factors I am about to mention. To assure that in fact it is a good question specific to the geographic territory and target population of your interest, you should search the literature and review it to determine the gap in the existing body of literature. You may compare the efficiency of nurse-practioners compared to other types of caregivers.
Yes I think it is a good question...you can also check acceptability and patient satisfaction .. If the nurse is trained they will do as good a job as any practitioner. The thing I would be more interested to read would be how patient perceived the experience!
Great, so from your gathering, its telling me to twist the question?
I was considering the question from diagnostic point which will confirm the result from two points of the examination such as consultant and practitioner nurse to see they are reaching to the same diagnose or nurses can miss an important points?
Meanwhile, the patient will be asked about thire satisfaction and comfort at the end of examination.
If you are agreed with me, what methode of research you will suggest?
It's a comparative survey.. As far as findings are concerned most departments save their records in electronic format.. I dont think that would be a problem.. That can be reviewed
Comparative survey in acadimic terms are called quantitative reserach.
So you think a quantitative reserach will allow me to compare the results of an examination conducted by a colonoscopist Dr and examination by a practitioner nurse and compare the idea of the two to see if a practitioner nurses missed any point in diagnose stage?
