How a social scientist can influence researchers of life sciencs, and the vice versa?

Sometimes it seems to me that debate exists in terms of the strength of methodologies of these two streams of research. Thus, we should find a way that would help us to use the strength of one method to strengthen the other. That's why I am looking for some insights.
