When designing a retaining wall against lateral loads, there is a crane wheel with maximum point load of 35 tons standing 1.0 m away from the wall, is it right to transfer the load on a slope 2:1 into soil to have a new wheel width of 2.6 m at 2 m beneath the soil surface then dividing 35 tons by 2.6 m to get uniform distributed load then multiplying this load by Ka to get distributed lateral load on the wall and that will be my design load?
Or the crane wheel load should be affecting the wall directly from top soil surface with a crane wheel width of 0.6 m?
