I am doing my DNP on this in Haiti. I recently read a terrific medical doctorate dissertation and have made so e other connections, and any additional information or research would be greatly welcomed.
What conclusions of the medical doctoral dissertation most interested you, surprised you?
What is the aim or purpose of your study? Organization of in-hospital teams, incorporation of guidelines, exam of survival of in-hospital CPR? For beginning, AHA and/or ERC guidelines are good start for that. Also, ILCOR recommendations for in-hospital CPR have good information for the start of that (of course, depends do you mean CPR in ER, or at wards).
Any hospital based CPR team should identify what resuscitation guidelines and training will be adapted to their local needs and facilities.
Doing a pre and post assessment through mock codes and benchmarking of the codes outcomes will be a great addition.
This is helpful. Thank you. I'm working with the ED director who is also in charge of education and training, and the nurse supervisor there. We have already done several training and are working now towards an organizational system.
