For collecting knee, you should isolate entire hind limb from near the hip joint and keep in PBS to prevent drying. Then you should remove the the skin carefully. Now, you can find knee as a white area and you should incise upper and lower part of joint area so that you can get intact knee. Then you can fix and finally decalcified before processing.
