Dear Tihomir,
NTIS research center which is established at the University of West Bohemia can offer relevant experience in mechatronics and robotics.
Our main research directions include
- Multi-physical modelling, model-based design and simulation of mechatronic systems
- Real-time control system development (own hard-real time SW platform)
- Development of special purpose manipulators and robotic system (including mechanical design, structural and parametric optimization, control system SW&HW and operator interface, delivered as an end-to-end solution)
- Advanced motion control algorithms (robust motion tracking, vibration damping, self-commissioning of electrical drives, trajectory planning, visual feedback, time optimal control etc.)
We are also involved in a large competence center called CIDAM (Center for Intelligent Drives and Machine control) which aims at development of novel sensors, actuators, drives and advanced control systems and their vertical integration in various application domains including industrial robotics, aerospace, CNC machining or metal processing.

We have many interesting research going on in our Robotics Lab at Federal Univ. of Rio Grande do SUL / Mechanical Engineering Dept (UFRGS / DEMEC). and also developments in mechatronics at the same lab and also the Control and Automation Lab (same Dept.). This is located in Porto Alegre RS / Brazil.
